I am the mother of God. “I AM THE MOTHER OF GOD” Holy Mary, Mother of God, Mother of Grace, Mother of Peace! Mother of Peace, give us Peace, Do not turn from thy children Thy gentle eyes! Mother of the Redeemer, Obtain Peace for the world, And the grace of God for all souls. Amen. MESSAGES OF OUR LADY TO PRIESTS (To be read by priests ONLY) These Messages have been translated from the original Italian with utmost care. The aim of the translator was not literary, but simple fidelity to the exact words of our Blessed Mother. The editor has sought and obtained from highly responsible ecclesiastics who know the recipient intimately , unanimous testimony regarding the reliability of these Messages. These prudent priests vouch for the great virtue of the person who received the Messages while they offer con- vincing proofs that they are genuine revelations from the Immaculate Heart of Mary to her priests. First published on December 8, 1946 with the Imprimatur of the Bishop of Foggia , they have since been published in many languages with extraordinary benefit to souls. We intend in no way to anticipate the judgment of the Church on the supernatural origin of these Messages. It is enough to read them humbly to sense that if the Blessed Mother spoke, she could not have spoken otherwise. The picture on the frontispiece was drawn by this privileged person who received the Messages although she had never studied drawing or painting. While this leaflet contains nothing which could scandalize persons who by association with priests know their virtues and also their defects, stilly according to the wishes of Our Lady f solicitous for the honor of her beloved sons , it should be reserved for priests. TRIPLE MESSAGE FIRST MESSAGE—May, 1943 The Queen of Heaven said: The priests are my most cherished sons. But in these last years many of them have torn my Heart! I have seen the holiness of my intimate ones decrease. Those who have consoled me are the ones who have sacrificed themselves on behalf of souls, bearing the weight of misunderstand- ings, calumnies, outrages. They are the ones who have suffered and are suffering in them- selves the whole Passion of my beloved Son in all its details. Proclaim to your last breath to these dear sons that I love them! that they are my consolation . . . But you must also tell the others that they must amend, and that soon! They must cease to tear the Soul and Body of my Son, and my own. They must change, and become pure, humble, poor, generous at all times; become compassionate with those who are in pain, with those who suffer, with thoje who are sick, with those who are persecuted; become patient in adversities, in trials, in misfortunes; with the importunate, with the little ones, with the aged. All these virtues, which ought to be thriving in the priest, have faded in many.—Proclaim 3 that they must return to the way of holiness, and quickly.—Faith without works is dead. And in reality their faith has diminished be- cause good works have been wanting. Faith in God and me has diminished. Faith in Revelation has diminished. Faith in the Sacrifice of my Son, and in its continuation in the Mass and in the Blessed Sacrament, has diminished. Proclaim to all that they must arouse them- selves from their wickedness; that the Passion of my Son must not be debased and outraged in their hands. Tell them that I beseech them to celebrate the Divine Sacrifice well, to love my Son with immense love! All this which I tell you, other souls besides the priests should not know. But these, cer- tainly, should know it. Find out a way. This is my will. Tell them also that they should be poor in spirit, and materially. Out of love I ask and beseech them. SECOND MESSAGE—May 13, 1946 The things which I am about to tell you are secrets which must be jealously guarded in the souls of my dear sons, the priests. This is my will: I will that these dear sons of mine should bind themselves to my Heart. — I will that love and confidence in me should revive in all of them.— I will that by means of them the world should revive.—I will that souls should find again the way of faith and 4 of hope through their sacrifice, through their generosity. . . . You know how dear to me are these souls [of the priests] and how i love them with infinite tenderness. Yet many of them have become tepid through a life which does not correspond to their great dignity, and grieve my Jesus. — Others are in grave temptations, and much persecuted by the evil one, by the world, and by wicked men. How dear to me are these souls! How I long to bind them to my Heart and to tell them my great love! . . To my most dear sons, who have received my Message and kept it in their hearts, my maternal blessing! To my dearest sons, who have received, kept, and propagated my will and my bidding among the brethren, my protection and all the blessings of my Heart.— I will to have them united to me with the strong bonds of charity. —Let them know that even when they are abandoned by all, persecuted, calumniated, grieved, I am with them. I follow them in every step, in every tribulation. I am preparing for them the shortest way to reach heaven. It is my will that they should look upon the world and upon souls with my eyes and with my Heart.— I desire that they may be patient, very patient with sinners, as I am, not sparing anything to save even one of them; that they may be kind, very kind to those who suffer and are sick; that they may be loving toward 5 the little and the poor; that they may be de- tached from themselves and worldly things; that they may be lovers of the Holy Sacrifice and of prayer. THIRD MESSAGE—October 22, 1946 Listen well to what I tell you: It is time for you to manifest my will for my sons the priests. —Now this is my will: that the League of Great Compassion should begin. That will be the name of the union which will bind these dear sons of mine to me and to one another. FROM THEM I ASK SIX THINGS: ( 1 ) Assurance of my love of predilection for their souls. (2) The greatest care in the Holy Sacrifice. (3) From those for whom it will be possi- ble, two Masses in my honor each month. (4) That they make me known as Mother of God. (5) That they give me their hearts com- pletely and lovingly. (6) That they dispose their souls always to do as much as I shall ask for the good of Holy Church, for souls, and for the world. AND I PROMISE THEM: (1) To keep and safeguard their souls until I see them close to me in heaven. (2) To protect them and free them from every assault of the evil one. (3) To make their ministry fruitful and to bless their labors in a special way. 6 (4) To bind their hearts to mine and to make them happy in my love. (5) To help them in every material need. (Here, at a show of surprise by the favored soul. Our Lady smiled and insisted: Yes, their Mother must think of that too.) (6) My blessing will always be upon them. Take care to forget nothing. All this I have told you now and not before, because now is the hour. . . Do not be afraid, for I am always with you. WORDS OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN Spoken at Various Times, but Not in Message Form 1946—1948 I love them all, my dearest sons. But you know that I want them to be saints, worthy of my beloved Son. If they sensed how great is the desire of my Heart for them! If they knew me! If they kept me in their souls as their Mother! If they gave their hearts entirely to me! What blessings they would then re- ceive! What strength! What consolations! How I love my dear ones. . . They would be able to console my Heart! I will that every priest who listens with docile soul to my complaint and my bidding and makes himself an apostle of my will, should know that my particular blessing and protection is upon him. It is now my fondest wish that my priests be helped in every way. 7 You know that they touch the tenderest chord of my maternal Hearts—And in the world my sons are persecuted, hated, and ca- lumniated! Do you see how the anger of the godless surrounds them on every side? Do not fear on that account: I will save them in an extraordinary way. I am now preparing a great favor of love for my dearest sons — a great grace which they will receive from my Heart. Let them know ever more intimately how I love them. Let them know how my Heart thirsts. And they can quench it. Let them become ever more closely united to me and to one another, for I have a great plan for my sons. Let those who listen to me have my prom- ises ever present to them. And let them be consoled, for their Mother will not fail them. I wish my beloved sons to be saints. . . 1 want them to be like burning torches to en- lighten all souls. . . I want them to have great love for all souls, but especially for poor sin- ners. Let these sons of mine know that the more they enlarge their hearts to receive sin- ners, the more I shall enlarge my Heart towards them, and make them understand and know the mysteries of love. Oh, my dear sons, listen to me! Hear the groaning of my Heart! Help me to save souls! They have cost all the blood of my Jesus. They are precious in the sight of the Most High. O sons, leave to me the care of your- selves and of your affairs, and give yourselves to souls. . . 8 Listen to me, O beloved sons! You are the most perfect image of my Divine Son. Oh, do not veil so beautiful an image! Do not soil it with your wretchedness! Jesus bears you, and you bear Jesus. He loves you with the tenderest love. Love Him, love Him as much! Jesus has appointed you to enlighten and warm this poor world enveloped in dark- ness and in cold. Oh, be Sight! Be fire! Souls are looking to you, are asking help of you. Every soul must see in each one of my sons Jesus meek and humble of Heart, Jesus poor and worn out for souls, Jesus full of patience and mercy for sinners, Jesus victim for the sins of the world, Jesus lover of the little and of the poor. I want them to be saints, faithful to my Son and to me. 1 wish to contemplate my Son in them. I wish the whole world to see Jesus in them. . . I am near to them, and wish them to know it. Let them never think that they are far from their Mother! Listen to me, my sons! I love you with great love, even if there are some among you who grieve my Heart and make me weep for sorrow. . . O beloved sons, leave the care of yourselves to me. Forget yourselves! Be ready for sacrifice! Be content to renounce your- selves! Be happy to be crucified with my crucified Son! By means of you the world will be saved and return to a new life. Do not waste your days in useless things which bring you no honor. You are the salt 9 of the earth. Oh, do not forget it! Everything in you must show forth Jesus. Sons, believe in my love! I love them all, even those who are afar and in the way of sin. Let them turn to my Heart! I am waiting for them and will cover them with my love and mercy. I will be more a Mother to them. Let them not keep my Heart, torn with grief, waiting any longer! Behold, I want to make them be like burn- ing torches in the midst of the darkness of the world. I gather up every tear and suffer- ing of theirs, and make them precious jewels in the eyes of God. I will show myself to these dearest sons of mine in a marvelous way, and will draw them all to my Heart. The holiness which I ask of these sons of mine is not made up of words and wishes, but of sacrifice, of virtue, of sorrow, of great love. . . The hearts of these dear children of mine must be like the Heart of Jesus. . . If I were to show you clearly the soul of the priest, you would see Jesus Himself. Every priest is an act of infinite love. Every priest is Jesus giving Himself, and I with Him. Every priest carries with him the infinite tenderness of Divine Love. . . How I wish that my children should remem- ber these truths at every moment of their lives! . . O 10 Consecration The following Morning Offering, given by Our Blessed Lady to this favored soul in 1947, may be used as a daily reminder of the Triple Message. O Mary , Mother of the Incarnate Word and our sweetest Mother , we are here at thy feet as a new day arises—another great gift of the Lord . We place in thy hands and in thy Heart our whole being. We will he thine in will, in thought , in heart , and in body. Do thou with motherly kindness form in us this day a new life, the life of thy Jesus. Direct and accompany , O Queen of Heaven , even our least actions with thy motherly inspira- tion, so that all may be pure and acceptable at the moment of the Holy and Immaculate Sacrifice. Make us holy , O good Mother; holy as Jesus has commanded us, and as thy Heart asks and so ardently desires. Amen. Imprimi Potest: David Nugent, S.J. Praep. Prov.
