He was asymptomatic, with a respiratory rate of 16 breaths/min and oxygen saturation of 97% on room air. He had a number of fine scars on his back. While conducting the lung ultrasonographic examination with a convex probe, the physician observed some superficial unexpected vertical shadows and switched to a high-frequency linear probe. The physician detected a small horizontal hyperechogenic line in the subcutaneous tissue, approximately 1 cm below the skin surface, with posterior acoustic shadowing ( Figure 1 ). There were multiple similar lesions in proximity to the scars. Interviewing the patient, we learned that he had undergone a hunting accident 20 years ago, and chest radiography confirmed the presence of multiple pellets ( Figure 2 ).
