THe queens highnes by thaduise and consent of her graces privy counsel is pleased & doth ordain, that from the date and publication hereof forwards, all maner french crownes of the sun, being of the just standard finesse and weight shalbe deemed and accepted to be of the value of six shillings four pence of curraunte money of this realm, and all maner of crownes of the Emperous coin, being of the just standard fines and weight, shalbe deemed and accepted to be of the value of syxe shillings four pence, of curraunte money of this realm. every double ducat of spain with two faces being of the just standard fines & weight, shalbe deemed and accepted to be of the value of thirteen shillings four pence, of curraunte money of this realm. every single ducat of spain with two faces, being of the just standard fines and weight, shalbe deemed and accepted to be of the value of six shillings eight pence, of curraunte money of this realm. every double royal of plate silver of the spanish coin, being of the just standard fines and weight, shalbe deemed and accepted to be of the value of thyrtene, pence of curraunte money of this realm. every royal of plate of the spanish coin, being of the just standard fines and weight, shalbe deemed and accepted to be of the value of six pence halfpennye, of the curraunte money of this realm. And every half royal of plate of the spanish coin being of the just standard fines and weight, shalbe deemed and accepted to be of the value of three pence farthing, of curraunte money of this realm. And that every of the said several coignes above mentioned, being of the just weight and fines according to the standard of the same, shall commonly be payed and received through out this her highnes realm & other her graces dominions in al payments and recepts, for and after the rates and valves before in this proclamation expressed and declared. straightly charginge and commaunding all, & singular her highnes subiectes and others, dwelling, conversing or trafficking within the said her graces realm and dominions, that they and every of them observe, fulfil, and execute theffecte and tenor of this present Proclamation, vpon pain, that who so disobeyeth or refuseth so to do, being by due proof therof detected, shall suffer enprisonmente, and further punishment at her highnes pleasure. given at our palace of Westminster the eight day of march, in the first year of our reign.
