THE queens majesty considering, howe necessary it is and pleasynge to almighty god, to haue concord and peace with all princes, and specially with such as be hir neighbours: And finding not onely hir realms and dominions left to hir in hostilytie and war after the decease of hir dear sister the late queen, with the realms of france and Scotlande, but also an honourable occasion offered of treaty of peace with both the said realms: hath therfore vpon good aduise, removed al ennimitie, & hath vpon most godly, honourable and profitable considerations( vpon the second of this month) passed, concluded and agreed, a good, perfect, sincere and perpetual amity, peace, intelligence, confederacion and union, to remain and continue for ever between hir most excellent majesty, hir heires and Successors on the one party: and the right high and mighty Prince henry the french king on tother party, their realms, Countries, Cities, towns, lands, dominions, terrytoryes, segnories, castles, vassals and subiectes, by land, sea, and freshwater, and elsewhere. And the like peace also between hir said majesty and the king and queen, Dolphines of Scotlande, and their realms and cositries. By the which peace it is provided, that al hostility and war shal cease on either party, and that the said princes, their Subiectes and vassals, shall live together in peace, amity, intelligence and friendship: And that all things be used and exercised as freely and lyberallye, as they haue done in any former time of peace, had between the said realms and dominions. ALL which premises hir majesty hath thought meet to notify to al maner hir Subiectes of what estate so ever the same be, that they and every of them, observe all that hereto belongeth: as the like is at the city of Paris in france on the french part published and notified.
