Die Jovis, 27 Januarii, 1647. ORdered by the Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament, That the Committee of the Army do forthwith issue Warrants for payment of the Army Eight and twenty days pay out of the Moneys in the several Counties collected for the six months' Assessments, as the Army is now dispersed, and do employ the rest of those Assessments to pay and Disband the Supernumerary Forces; And that the respective Commissioners of such Counties as the Committee for the Army shall or have written unto, Do within Fourteen days' cause the residue of those six months' Assessments to be paid into the Treasury at guild-hall London. And it is further Ordered, That the Committee of the Army do take care, that the Army, after this months pay, be paid out of the succeeding months Assessments of the several Counties; And for this end all Commissioners are to see the Moneys of the three succeeding months collected, that the Army may be paid therewith in the several Counties, out of the Money there arising by those succeeding three months Assessments, so that freequarter be prevented.
