WHereas Edward Lord Griffin Baron of Brabrooke, having been Summoned by several Letters, and otherwise, to Attend Our House of Peérs, but he being withdrawn from his Houses, doth not appear, and the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament Assembled having Applied to Us to Issue out Our Proclamation to Summon the said Lord Griffin to Render himself (at a certain Day to be by Us limited and appointed) to the said House of Peérs, if then Sittng, or to one of Our Principal Secretaries of State, if the said House be not then Sitting; We have thought fit, by the Advice of Our Privy Council, to Issue this Our Royal Proclamation, and do hereby Command and Require the said Lord Griffin to Render himself before the Twentieth day of September next ensuing, to the House of Peérs, if then Sitting, or to one of Our Principal Secretaries of State, if the said House be not then Sitting, upon Pain of being Proceeded against according to the utmost Rigour and Severity of Law, in case of Neglect and Contempt of this Our Royal Command.
