WHereas by Our Proclamation, bearing Date the Seventeénth Day of March last, We did Declare, That convenient Notice should be given by Proclamation of the Time when Our Parliament should Meét, and Sat for the dispatch of Business, We have therefore (with the Advice of Our Privy Council) thought fit to Issue this Our Proclamation, hereby Declaring and Publishing Our Will and Pleasure, That Our Parliament which is now Prorogued to the Four and twentieth Day of this Instant May, shall on the said Day Meét and Sat for the Dispatch of such Weighty and Important Affairs, as may be Requisite for the Safety of this Our Kingdom, in a time when it is Threatened with a Powerful Invasion from Abroad: And We do hereby Charge and Require all the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and the Knights, Citizens and Burgesses of the House of Commons, accordingly to give their Attendance at Westminster on the said Four and twentieth Day of this Instant May.
