ERROR I.  
THat God doth not foreknow all things.  
Job 42. 2. I know that thou canst do every thing, and that nothing can be hidden from thee.  
Job 37. 16, 23. He is perfect in knowledge; touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out, he is excellent in power, and in judgement.  
1 John 3. 20. For if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, and knows all things.   

Error II.  
That there are not three Persons in the deity.  
1 John 5. 7. There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Spirit, and these three are one.   

Error III.  
That God is not Almighty.  
Mat. 19 26. With God all things are possible.  
Job 38. 4. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth.  
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened, or who hath laid the corner stone thereof?  
8 Or who hath shut the Sea up with doors.  
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, and no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed.  
17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee.  
36 Who hath put wisdom into the inward parts? who giveth understanding to the heart?  
Job 40. 12. Who can look upon every one that is proud and bring him low.  
Job 9 4, 10. He is mighty in strength: Which doth great things, and wonders without number.   

Error IV.  
That God is not present in all places.  
Psalm 139. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence. If I ascend into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in hell, behold thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the Sea, even there shall thy hand lead me: and thy right hand shall hold me up. If I say the darkness shall cover me; the darkness and light are both alike to thee.   

Error V.  
That God is not perfectly holy.  
Isai. 6. 3. Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord, the whole earth is full of his glory.  
Rev. 4. 8. And they rest not day and night, saying, holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.  
Pet. 1. 15, 16. But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation, Because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy.   

Error VI.  
That God is not eternal.  
Psal. 90. 2, From everlasting to everlasting thou art God.  
1 Tim. 1. 17. Now unto the King eternal, immortal invincible, &c. See Isai. 26. 4. Deut. 33. 27.   

Error VII.  
That Christ is not God coequal with the Father.  
Ioh. 10. 30. I and my Father are one.  
Phil. 2. 5, 6. Who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God.  
John 14. 11. Believe me, that I am in the Father, and he in me:   

Error VIII.  
That Christ was not very man.  
1 Cor. 15. 47. The second man is the Lord from heaven.  
Acts 2. 22. Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God.  
1 Tim. 2. 5. There is one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.   

Error ix..  
That Christ's human nature was not pure and unspotted of sin.  
Luke 1. 35. The angel said unto her, The holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the most High shall overshadow thee, therefore also that holy thing which shall be borne of thee, shall be called the son of God.  
Heb. 7. 26. Such an High Priest it became us, which is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sin.   

Error X.  
That Christ did not suffer death.  
Mat. 27. 50. Jesus when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the Ghost:  
Luke 23. 46. Father, into thy hands I commend my Spirit, and having said this he gave up the Ghost.  
John 19 30. When Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished, and gave up the Ghost.   

Error XI.  
That Christ is not risen.  
Mat. 28. 6, 9, 11. He is not here, he is risen, and as they went to tell his Disciples, Jesus met them, and when they saw him, they worshipped him, but some doubted.  
Mark 16. 14. Afterward he appeared to the eleven as they late at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him, being risen up again.  
Luke 24. 46. And he said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day.   

Error XII.  
That Christ is not ascended bodily into heaven.  
Mark. 16. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat at the right hand of God. Luke 24. 51. And it came to pass while he blessed them, he was carried from them, and conveyed up into heaven.  
Acts 1. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.   

Error XIII.  
That the holy Ghost is not God.  
Mat. 12. 31, 32. But the blasphemy against the holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh against the holy Ghost, shall not be forgiven in this world, or in that to come.  
Acts 5. 3, 4. Why hath Satan filled thy heart, to lie to the Holy Ghost.   

Error XIV.  
That the Scriptures are not the Word of God.  
2 Pet. 1. 21. The Prophecy came not in old time, by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.  
2 Tim. 3. 16. All Scripture is given by inspitation of God, &c.   

Error XV.  
That the bodies of men shall not rise after death.  
2 Tim. 2. 18. Who concerning the truth have erred, saying, the resurrection is past already.  
Acts 24. 15. We have hope towards God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.  
1 Cor. 15. 13. For if there be no resurrection of the dead, than is Christ not risen.   

Error XVI.  
That there shall be no day of judgement after death.  
2 Pet. 2. 9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust to the day of judgement to be punished.  
2 Pet. 3. 7. But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved into fire against the day of judgement, and perdition of ungodly men.   

Error XVII.  
That a man hath power of his own free will to repent.  
John 3. 5. Verily, except a men be born of water, and the Spirit, he cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.  
Rom. 9 16. So than it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.   

Error XVIII.  
That Christ by his death did not perfectly satisfy God's justice for all the sins of the elect.  
Heb. 10. 14. For by one offering hath he for ever perfected them that are sanctified.  
Heb. 12. 2. Looking unto Jesus the Author and finisher of our faith.   

Error XIX.  
That the death of Christ is not sufficient alone to merit salvation for believers.  
Gal. 3. 13. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the Law.  
Heb. 9 12. Neither by the blood of goats, and of calves, but by his own blood, he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained redemption for us. See Acts 20. 28.   

Error XX.  
That the soul dies with the body.  
Luke 23. 43. And Jesus said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, to day shalt thou be with me in paradise.  
Acts 7. 59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.  
Phil. 1. 23. For I am in a straight between two, having a desire to be dissolved, and to be with Christ.   

Error XXI.  
That the Law is of no use to believers under the Gospel.  
Gal. 5. 14. For all the Law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  
Rom. 2. 13. For not the hearers of the Law are justified before God, but the doers of the Law shall be justified.  
Rom. 3. 31. Do we then make void the Law through faith? God forbid, yea we establish the Law?   

Error XXII.  
That God sees no sin in believers.  
2 Sam. 7. 14, 15. I will be his father, and he shall be my son, if he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, but my mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul.  
Isa. 27. 9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged and this is all the fruit to take away his sin.   

Error XXIII.  
That believers need not repent.  
Rev. 2. 16. Repent, or else I will come unto thee quickly, &c.  
2 Cor. 7. 10, 11. For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, not to be repented of. For behold, the self same thing that you sorrowed after a godly sort, what care it hath wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, &c.   

Error XXIV.  
That ordinances are of no use.  
1 Cor. 11. 23, 24, 25, 26. For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, and the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks he broke it, and said, Take, eat, this is my body which was broken for you, this do in remembrance of me, &c.  
Mat. 〈◊〉 19, 20. Go teach all nations baptising them in the Name of the Father, Son, and holy Ghost.   

Error XXV.  
That the Sabbath day or first day of the week, is not to be observed by Christians under the gospel.  
Rev. 1. 10. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day.  
1 Cor 16. 2. Upon the first day of the week, let every one lay by him in store, &c.   

Error XXVI.  
That Christians ought not to pray.  
Iam. 1. 5, 6. If any man Jack wisdom, let him ask it of God, but let him ask in faith nothing wavering.  
Iam. 5. 16. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, and the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  
1 Tim. 2. 8. I will therefore that men pray everywhere.   

Error XXVII.  
That there is no degree of faith or grace, but that a man may fall from it totally.  
John 17. 12. Those whom thou hast given me, I have kept and none of them is lost, but the Son of perdition, That the Scripture might be fulfilled.  
Rom. 11. 28, 29. But as touching the election they are beloved for the father's sake. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.  
1 Pet. 1. 5. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, Mat. 16. 18. and the gates of hell shall not prevail against you.   

Error XXVIII.  
That children have no original sin.  
Psal. 51. 5. Behold I was born in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.  
Ezek. 16. 3, 4, 5, 6. As for thy nativity in the day thou wast borne, thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water, &c. And no eye pitied thee, and when I passed by I saw thee polluted in thine own blood, and said unto thee, live.   

Error XXIX.  
That all sins are not damnable.  
Rom. 6. 23. The wages of sin is death.
