Sept the 18th HONI SOIT QVI MAL Y PENSE royal blazon surmounted by a crown and flanked by the English lion and Tudor rose on one side and the Scottish unicorn and thistle on the other A LETTER From PORTSMOUTH SIR, THE King is very busy in advice with the Lords and the rest attending His Majesty; There seems to be great hopes that the Treaty will produce good; His Majesty seeming( now) to be more willing to comply then ever; The Commissioners are expected here: And there is a guard appointed to see the Commissioners safe arrival, and that al mutinies, or insurrections that may disturb the Treaty be prevented, and that there may be a free passage, between the King, and the Commissioners, and the Parliament. The Army do acquiesce to the resolutions of the Parliament, and do not at all interpose the Treaty, expecting, and hoping the performance of what is promised both by His Majesty and the Parliament, that is, to enjoy an happy and long looked for peace, and enjoyment of the Subjects Liberties.
