ACT, Allowing the deputy for the Privy Seal to Subscribe the Writs passing the same. At Edinburgh, January 23. 1690. THE Lords of His Majesties Privy Council Considering, That the Privy Seal of the late King James, is now, by their Order and Appointment Broken, and that a New Privy Seal is not yet made, They, by virtue of His Majesties special Warrant and Commission, Declare, That the Subscription of the Person whom the Commissioners for the Privy Seal shall Appoint their Deput, shall supply the want of the said Privy Seal, until the same be provided, and Declares the same to be als Valid, Effectual and Sufficient, as if the Seal were Appended to the Writs that shall pass the same: But they Appoint and Ordain, the persons in whose favours the Writs are Conceived, within thirty Dayes after Intimation shall be made that the Seal is come down, to bring in the same to the said Deput, that the Seal may be Appended thereto. And Ordains these Presents to be Printed, and Published by Macers of Privy Council, at the Mercat across of Edinburgh, and other places needful. Per Actum Dominorum Secreti Concilii. GILB.
