THe Lords of His Majesty's Privy Council, for the better keeping and securing the Peace of the Kingdom, have thought fit to appoint, and hereby Appoint and Ordain, that none presume to travel from Edinburgh, to any part of the Kingdom without a Pass from one or other of their Lordship's Number, bearing their Names, and the place to which they are designed to go; Certifying such as shall be found to contraveen this Act, that they shall be stopped till they be farther examined; And all Magistrates, and other Officers Civil or Military are to take care that these presents be duly observed: And Ordains these presents to be Printed, and Published, that none pretend Ignorance.
