Tuesday, October 31, 1693. THE Trustees and Goldsmiths for the Profitable Adventure to the Fortunate, met in Freemans Yard, Cornhill, where in the Presence of most of the Trustees, Goldsmiths and others, the Blanks being all first told and put into a great Chest, the 250 benefited Tickets were in their Presence Rolled and Sowed up just like the Blanks, and then by Sir William forester Cut off from a Book, and one after another delivered into the Hand of Thomas Neal, Esq; and immediately by him put into the said Chest, and there very well mixed with the Blanks, in the Sight and Presence of Sir William forester, Sir Thomas Vernon, Sir William Gore, Sir Peter Paeravicine, Robert Rawworth, Robert Beningfeild, John Genew, John Johnson, Richard Goodall, Richard Spencer, Richard Hoare, Thomas Williams, William shepherd, Thomas Penyman, Joseph Fells, John Blackler, John Arnold, Henry Morse, Dalby Thomas, John Thrael and others, who immediately after saw the same put into the Box, out of which they are to be Drawn, and that being then Sealed up. The numbered Tickets in like manner were then likewise brought in by the Respective Goldsmiths, and being first Cut from the Book, and by them told, were afterwards told by others of the Trustees, and after put immediately into( and well mingled in) a great Chest, and then put into the Box and Sealed up, from whence they are to be drawn; and both Boxes so Sealed were then put into a strong Chest with Five several Locks for that Purpose Provided, and the Keys kept by Five of the said Trustees and Goldsmiths. Which said Chest being on Wednesday the First of November, 1693. brought and set on the Table in the Presence of almost all the Trustees, and many other Spectators, was then opened, and the Boxes aforesaid being taken out, and also set on the Table to be Drawn by Blew-Coat Boyes of Christs Hospital, London. The numbered Tickets as well as the Blanks and Prizes are all to be opened and red aloud, and in a Book entred, and after filled up. Which way of Proceeding 'tis Hoped will Content all Persons Concerned in this Profitable Adventure; for whose further Satisfaction such Prizes as shall daily be Drawn will the next day be Printed.
