HEre beginneth a little treatise the which speaketh of the xv. tokens the which shullen be showed afore that drefull day of judgement. And who that our lord shalt ask reckoning of every body of his words works and thoughts. And who our lord will show us other xv. tokens. of his passion to them that been dieth in deadly sin. depiction of two male figures and one female figure standing apart from each other, and two other male figures emerging from the ground depiction of a male figure or monk seated in a scriptorium IN this beginning so will I writ of the xv. Tokens they which shullen be showed afore the drefull day off doom of our lord Ihu xpen. and there shall we show oure self jonge and old etc. ¶ And our lord will that there shall be showed, iiij. tokens after doctors saying. For our lord is so merciful that hy will not punish us but he will show some tokes afore. And that we may besory off our sins and do penance. And after these foresaid iiij. tokens shullen yet be xv. other tokens be showed. Which Iheronimus had fonden in the rinskens there Chronicle their jews. Of which xv. tokens foresaid shullen be declared be ordinance here after. And that first token of the iiij. shallbe that the might of Satan thorough the passie of our lord was made lasser. and was bounden. & shallbe onbonden. All be it that he by the might of the passie be bounden. & may not do so moche harm to the menshen as hy was wont to do. But the devil is bounden at certain times. & he shallbe onbonden that high may do the more harm to the people with temptacien and tribulacien for to assay them though that be chosen. But in the last time of the world shullen the good be very good and the evil shullen be very bad. Like the holy writers shown in the last chapter of apocaliosis. ¶ Tempus prope est qui nocet noceat ad huc et qui in sordibus est sordescat ad huc. et justus iustificetur. ad huc et qui sauctus est sanctificetur. ad huc. THat second token of the four. shall be as love shallbe lost and not more be used. Likewise as the menshen warend old and the nature waxed cold in hem. which the philosophe called it the little world. Likewise is it of the great world. Who she more cometh to the end who more the love waxed cold in herself. But the hot of a body is ghostly of living there greater world. And shall all hole fail for it goth sore to the end of the world. As apostolus ad hebreos. Qui antiqntur & se nescit prope interitum est. And a man may now know who that god is served without devocie. And how he is blasphemyed. and by 'em swearing & also pull him all a sunder in pices. And ye may well know that the love is all most all done & is waxed cold and dreyed away. but some be naked and pray heartily but they find no help. & they that be hongery die for hunger & have none succour. The gate of mercy is shit the fonteyne of the compassie hath shit her condutes. And through failed among his friends. and she shall not be fonden afore god shall give sentence upon them that have honred charity and patience out of this world. That third token shallbe as all manner of evil and sins shallbe in this world & the fere of god be put done/ and have none thinking on him. And when faithful and patience shall not beset be but almaner of eveyll shallbe used and when the menschen shullen loven with a secretly love & care of none man but for her own ꝓfyt And also we shall be afore the end of the world be proud & hy shall make moche of hem self & shall blasphemeren the name of our lord and they shullen not care of there father or mother and than they shullen love fleshly nature more than god As the apostle in the two episle add thy moteum Therefore let every body remember in hem self what people now a day be living in this world and look well if this aforesaid things not be now a days showed & done and set be none sin. For it is not well possible that any body might writ the great synens the nowadays be done pray to god that hy will torn his people that the may do penance afore there death That for the token that shall before the end of the world & fore the other. xv. tokens & afore that great ordil a fore the day of doom and than shall there be great perverten and war & there shall be war in many divers lands of the world and also among all creators in this world living For as matheis said in. xiv. chapiter Fighting and wars shallbe among us and also one body shall arise against though there and also one king against on other and also troyson shallbe a moge towns all have they made pays & pays shallbe out the world & laid done and also the prinshe against his comen & his comen against 'em. And also there shallbe none closter of monks nor of nuns it shallbe full of pervertes or contrary one that other And than shall it be as/ Iheremias writted in his x. chapter unusquisque se a suo ꝓximo custodiat That is to say Every man keep 'em of his neighbour or friend & troste not his brother for one shall show an other a fair face but it heart of him is full falls & also one brother shall mock that other and he shall lay snares & gynes for hem to beguile if he may And than is it fulfylt like. Messiah the prophet said Keep you of beware you of your own wife the which sleeped in your arms for she shall beguile her own husbounde and also the child shall beguile the father & the father the child and the daughter the mother & the mother the dought and also one brother shall deliver that other to death & the father the son & the children the father. And when all these things & ꝑuerten shallbe though out of all the world than shall it be an token of the last termyn or end of this world. Other perverten shullen be in the firmament But communly it shallbe a dire time not alone in one province or kingdom but thorough out of all the world. but it shallbe that the earth shall bear none fruyce to our behouff or need to live with all. And it shallbe also great earth bevinge be against nature that there shullen fallen done castles & houses And also in the zee & Rivers shullen be more perverten than it hath be afore And the air shallbe full of corrupcyens and venom thereof shullen comen great pestilenciē as well in the beasts as in the menshen thereof they shullen die. & also donnering lightning tempests and winds shullen be more peryloes than the wont the Bee. & the people shallbe sore afeard And lykewys as sanit hyeronimus hath founden xv. principael tokens they shullen be afore the dry full day of doom of our lord. Ihu xpi. But we know not if these. xv. tokens shullen be showed one after on other. or if there any other token shallbe showed between Thereof said saint hyroniꝭ none certain nor none doctor but they put it in the will of our lord but our lord may there with do his will but hy is almighty ¶ Here followen the xu principael tokens the which shulen be showed a fore the great ordeel of judgement of our lord Ihu ¶ Of that first token depiction of a pond of lake full of fish That first token the which shall go afore the comen judgement shallbe. that the see shall arise. xi. cubitꝭ above all hills there world. & shall so stand in a token of a miracle without running over or going done and no more in one place than in another & shall stand still in hire one place for that they words of psalmi. should be true. like he said Mirabilis elatioens maris: marvelous is the see of her oprysing. and this shall god suffer. for the punish the which have be proud like the wise man said in his proverb. xiii. chapter. Cor superbiqun mare feruens ꝙquescit. The heart of pride is like the bernende zee the which none rest en hath & not others desired than discord and war. The which is comen of pride like Solomon said in his proverb. Int suꝑbos sꝑ iurgia sunt Discord & twist is ever among the proud folk. & the proud will also be in the heyest please. and of a lityl thing that which he hath done will he be worshipped & honoured. & never is he full of worship & ever. would have more. And god shall this done for to punish the proud the whithe themself so enhauncen & will be better than on other. & he shall take of them there lands & goede. And also that they should know there sins. & torn them to penance. For our lord is so full of mercy that he will that none soul should be lost. but he giveth us knowelge & token of tribulation and other poverty that we should know 'em and do penance. like the apostle said. Non dimittitur ꝑctm nisi restituatur ablatum: that is to say. The sins en been not released nor forgiven. but high do satisfaction therefore ¶ Of that second token: depiction of the sea fallen below the level of the land THat second token that which shall go afore that comen judgement shall be. that the see shall good one in to the earth. like if the son it had dreyeth away. Like as the prophet Naum said in his first chapter. ¶ Increpans mare et exsiccans illud. ¶ That is to say. that the maker of all the world shall the see done gone in to the dypte of the earth. like if she had be dreyed out. in a great token of impossibility or of in meruelyosite. And betokeut that the proud and lecherous folk full of fleshly lust and have followeth the resynne. And have laboured for to get great richesses and bildinges as houses and other castles And have not buildeth in heaven by our lord Ihesu and have not buildeth ghostly for their soul health And like as the have put done they poor and have not succured them with there good as god hath sent you in this world. But in the day as the see shall 'em hide in to the earth. Like as it is said afore. and that shallbe done for such folk as it is spoken of afore. & they shullen be ashamed of there sins and shullen be dampened for such sins. Like saint lucas showed in his xiv. chapter. ¶ Quise exalt at humiliabit. And in his proverb xxix. Superbum sequitur humilitas. ¶ Of that third token. depiction of a merman and mermaid in the sea THat third token shallbe. that all beasts and fishes shullen monstrens. and in the see they shullen come to guider & make a great complaint and crying marvelously that it shallbe herd in heaven and god shall this understand alone Of this said job in his xii. chapter. ¶ Loquere terre et amnunciabit tibi Et enarrabunt pisces marꝭ. That is to say. Speke to the earth and she shall say you all the ill of the men shen. And the fishes of the see shullen speak to you of the evil of the folk. ¶ God shall suffer this to one token to the people though that have lived in that water of joy. and lustenes of the flesh. And they that haven be merry in dancing piping and in singing more than to the commandments of our blessed lord Ihesu xpen And their mirth shallbe changed in great heaviness. Like us lucas declared in his vi. chapter. We vobis qui nunc ridetꝭ quia lugetis: That is to say. Sorrow shullen they have they that lawhen. For ye shullen weep in bitter tears in that day of judgement. And they that haven done penance in this world they moen well be merry. As our lord said/ Beati qui nunc fletis 〈◊〉 ridebitꝭ/ That is as much to say/ ¶ blessed be all though that weep in this world & sufferen/ For they shullen be merry in everlasting glory/ And the fishes and beasts of the see shullen speak of one manner or crying. and complain over the menshen for their great sins. for which sins they sufferen great peayn in the see. ¶ Of that forth token depiction of the sea on fire That forth token shallbe that the see and all other waters and rivers shullen bernen of the fire that which shall Come out of heaven. and shall punish them that have lived lecherously in this world. after there lustisnes of the flesh. And have lived against the commandment of our lord Ihu. And such folk shall berne in the fire made of brimstone. Like ye find in Apocalipsi in his xxi. chapter. ¶ Erit pars eorum in igne et sulphur. And also for there pleasure the which they have hadden in there lecherousnes. shullen have a sunder pain in everlasting fire Like ye find in apocalipsi in his xviij. chapter. Quantum in delicijs fuit tantum date tormentum et luctum. give them pain after that they have deserved. the which have lived lecherously and haven kept other men's wives. & haven lived after there own pleasure and flesely lust. Therefore shall this token be showed that the see and all Rivers shullen bernen as ye here may see portrayed etc. ¶ Of that fift token. depiction of seven forest birds, including an owl and a peacock, surrounded by falling blood droplets THat fift token shallbe. that all herbs trees forestis and boskasyen shullen sweet drops like blood. As Sibylla writted. And johel in his second chapter. Spekende in the person of god. ¶ In diebus illis dabo prodigia in celoet in terra sanguinem et vaporem fumi. That is to say ¶ In those days shall I give tokens in heaven and in earth of smelling or savouring. Also in that same day shullen come to guider all births. they shullen cryen and wypen. And they shullen not be willing to eat nor to drink in no manner wise. ¶ these foresaid savour and bloet that the trees and herbs shullen sweet. that shall god suffer for to punish the manquellers and mordenars in a peayne though that have killed them that never was guilty. Like as Seneun said in his iiij chapiter. Speaking in the person of god to Cayin. that blood of thy brother Abel cried to me of the earth into heaven. ¶ And that weeping and crying of these birds shullen not willing be to eat nor to drink. And shallbe done in a peayne and in a token of they dronkarts. though that be evermore drunken in this world. and so live in moche eting and drinking. but they shullen be punished in hell of the hunger there deed. Like salistinus said. ¶ Mors depassed eos. And so they shullen be punished with divers torments. ¶ Of that vi. token depiction of buildings falling down, including a church steeple and tower tops THat vi token chalk. that all towns. Castles tours. houses and other buildings shullen fall down. Like saint Lucas & Matheis saiden in xxiv. chapter. ¶ Non relinquet lapis super lapidem qui non destruatur. That is to say. ¶ There shall not one stone abeyde by that other. And that shall god suffer for they in that have laboured for to make great castles and fair houses for their pleasure Than to make one fondacien or to build in the worship of our lord. for to find a house in heaven Like saint johan said in his xxiv. chapter. ¶ In domo patris mei mansiones multe sunt ¶ That said our lord In my faders house be many woning places. For they souls shullen have that the deserved for one shall have more than the oder Therefore there be many woning places thereof said Ysayas. ¶ We qui coniungitis domum ad domum et agrum agro copulatis. O we ye rich ye make houses by houses with beguiling & make great your land and fills. and one acker by that other the which ye have taken of the power folk knoweling by force or strong hand: And they that have no might against you. O ye rich look on your worldly houses the which ye have buildeth with great labour. And wilt not once say to your own self. O good lord had I made one house in heaven for my soul helt with so great labour as I have done in earth I had done wisely for my soul etc. Of that seven. token. depiction of stones That seven. took shallbe that one stone shall beat that other and shullen fight in themself & they shullen springe asunder. and so fight they shullen give and maken a great noise of crying And that shall no man understand but god alone. Like it was done as our lord was Crucified. As matheus said in his xxvij. chapter. Petre scisse sunt. And that shallbe done for to fere them though that been harder than stones. for they have no fear of our lord. & they may not be made tender for no preaching of the pain of hell. nor of his judgement nor of his passion. but they stones haven had compassion of our lord in his passion in manner of speaking But they sinner is so hard that they will not shrive them nor do no penance for their sins But late us pray to our lord Ihu that he will make our hearts tender that we may besory for our sins. ¶ Of that viii token. depiction of a female figure falling over, with cattle and a sheep nearby THat viii token shallbe. that there shallbe a general earth shaking and contrary their earth And shallbe showed over all the world. so perilous that nor man nor wife nor beast shall mow stand upright. but shullen fallen done the groaned. Like it speaketh in apocaliꝓsi xvi. chatre. Et fcuns ēterremotꝭ magnus qlis non fuit ex quo homines eme ceperunt. That is to say. Afore our lord shall come to judgement shallbe also great an erthquaving as ever hath been. sith our lord the world made. & this shall be done for to fere them tho that been yet in earth And shallbe a token that the earth shall bear no more the sinners. but shall them leave. & our lord shall do over them justicie, & shall them give they maledictie in the pytts of hell with Lucifer. And the people & sinners shullen seek places & holes for them to hide there in. And there shallbe showed the great unmerciful that our lord hath to the sinners For the that would not leave there sins for all they tokens that they might see here afore. ¶ Of that ix token. depiction of a plain studded with the tops of mountains THat ix token shallbe that all hills and valleys shullen be plaen. & this shall be as Ysay as in his xl chapter showed ¶ Omnis vallis implebit. et omnis mons et collis huinliabit. that is to say That all hills shullen be laid done. & that shall god show for to fear all princes though that make moche of themself & have put done they poor. for all kings lords & princes been all like the poor. For they be all made of one substans & have all had one father. and god shall such kings & lords give wages like they have deserved. Like matheis said in his xvi. chapter Filiꝭ hoino reddan unicuique scdʒ opera sua. Without any taken out as well the master as the servant. Like psal. said. Cum accepero tempus ego iusticias iudicabo. that is to say. As I shall take the day & the hour shall I judge the good & the bad works of the people. as well the one as the other. of what state or cōdycien that thy be ¶ Of that x. token depiction of two male figures and one female figure standing apart from each other, and two other male figures emerging from the ground That. x. token shallbe. that all men & women they that had hid them in the earth shullen come again out of their holes like as mad folk. And shullen so sore be afeard/ that one shall not mow speak to that other And this shall god show in one token that when god shall give judgement over the good and bad. Shall hy no man excuse. which judgement them is showed with many tokens if they would not torn them fro their sins and do penance: And god shall also show this token to the people that shall live than in earth. That Maria the mother of our lord Ihu advocatrice to all sinners that in the hour/ of judgement shall she not con help no manner none saint of heaven but their own good deeds. ¶ Of that xi. token. depiction of an open tomb with skulls, bones, and two skeletons or corpses THat xi token shallbe. that all graves & thumbs shullen stand open. fro the uprising of the son and going done again. And also all bones of the bodies the which that be death fro the beginning of the world to that same day to. shullen arise by and by. ¶ Like Ezechiel said in his xxxvij. chapter. Erce ego aperiam tumulos vestros This same token shall god show to one token to all though that hath be hid secretly Like sins that have not be confessed nor shriven thereof. And they that have done sins secretly and have not shriven them thereof nor haven done no penance. and all they shullen be dampened. Like evangelista said. Nihil oꝑtum ꝙ non reveletur nec absconditum quod sciatur. That is to say. None things so secretly kept but our lord shall have thereof knowledge in the day of judgement. and no thing so unbeknowen but it shallbe known in common of every man in though days. etc. ¶ Of that xii. token. depiction of creatures staring up at the night sky, including a boar, ox, dog, cat, rabbit, horse, lion, and unicorn THat xii token shallbe that stars shullen fallen out of heaven. for all planets the which that go about with the course of the elementis. and also they that stand still be called in latin planets or stelle errancie. Shullen fallen and casten out great comets with long tails. like a burning spear. that which shall be sore fertfull on to see. And shullen all beasts come to guider and making a great noise without meet or drink. Like matheus writted of the stars in his xiv chapter. ¶ Stelle cadent de celo et virtutes celorum movebuntur. Of this may ye understand that the people shall see no more like if they had be cast out of heaven, Like ye may understand of saint ambrosius Iheronimus and beda. As the son and moan and all oath brightness of heaven shullen change their brightness into darkness not that they shullen lose there brightness. To understand as our lord shall come to justice than shallbe such a brightness that the son and moan shullen lose their brightness. Here of said the prophet johel in his iij. chapter. ¶ Sol convertetur in tenebras et luna insanguinem antequam veniat dies dni magnus et horribilis. That is to say. Afore our lord Ihu shall come though judgement shall the son lose her brightness. and the moan shall turn her in to blood. Like in apocalipst is showed. ¶ Sol factus est niger quasi factus cilicinus et luna fctā est quasi sanguinis et stelle cadent super terram. That is to say. In though days shallbe a meruelyos token. as that the son shallbe like a sack caste with esshes. and the moan shallbe red like the blood And this is to understand that all creatures off heaven syeng the end of the world. Wherefore that they ware made to give brightness in token off soroufulnes. Like when the master is death than the servant put on 'em black clothes in token of morning. And not that the stars shullen fallen done to the earth. but they shullen abeyde above in the air and making a great noise of lightning and they shullen not be wasted. but shullen abeyde in that lowest part of the air and the people shall ween that they fallen to the earth. And verily as men said the might of heaven is like angels ghosts and the works of heaven shullen perverten & tremblem in the day of judgement. Not that they have fear of damnation. but the tremble for the reverencie that they shullen done. but when they shullen seen they great might of our lord coming to judgement with all his Empire and might & looking so ferthfully against they that be dampened and than the angels shullen humbli bow them Like if they sholden suffer the everlasting pain And ye may also understand of the perverten of the angels and ghosts that she hem perverten for to fulfil the will of our lord: And this shall god suffer that the stars shullen fallen. for to fear them though that be fallen fro their believe. and for them that have not meyntened our believe and though that have kept it a back etc. ¶ Of that xiii. token: depiction of a pile of recently dead bodies THat xiii. token shallbe. that all men women and children they than be alive op the world shullen die without any remedy. And hy shall this done for that they shullen arise against the day of doom with them that have been deed in the beginning of the world to that day to aforesaid ¶ And certainly this shall be a pytuosly work that all people though that been alive. going sitting standing ligging eting or drinking. shullen be hurt so shortly with the lancie of death suddenly. ¶ O ye wretched people ye ween to live ever, but think that ye shall die. & you know nor day nor hour And also you think not on your sins. ¶ O ye men and women what shall ye do when ye have none time for to amend your sins. ¶ Of that xiv. token. THat xiv token shallbe. that heaven and earth and all elementen shullen bernen and specially all things that which is operthe. And the bodies of men and women shullen be burneth in to esshes. Like Genesi said in his iij. chapter. ¶ pulvis es. et in pulverem reverteris. And of the same resolucien of heaven and the et the said Matheis in his xiv chapter. Celuin et terra transibunt And of this same fire said Psalmista. ¶ Ignis ante ipsum precedet. That fire shall go afore that common judgement Which fire shallbe very great by the might of our lord. Not alone that fire in 'em self but all fires in earth and shullen come above to guider for to for burn all the world. And the doctors say that this fire shall have three manner of might. As the might of the fire of earth. for too take and to burn all to things that ye may file Like trees herbs and in general all though things that been in earth. For that same fire shall turn in to esshes. As all bodies of men and women. And it shall have the might of the fire of the elementis and shall purgyren the air and elements. And this same fire shall go about all the world and make clean all the elements of the Infectie of the people. And this same fire shall go also high as the Infectie is gone of the sinful people. for to purge all that same. Like our lord said that heaven and earth shallbe burned and fergo. not that the be wastable na the substancie. for the be Incorruptible or wastable. and that same fire shall go above all hills xv. cubytes. like the diluvy did for too purge that opperste part of the air. the which that the sinful people had be smytted with there great sins. And in this manner shall the heaven be purget. But the things of heaven shullen not be wasted in no manner of wise. Like propheta said. ¶ Ipin ꝑibunt tu aunt permanes. That is to say. That the heaven shall fergo after some disposicie and change like it now is. And the shall not be wasted to say after their corruptibilier substācien. And than it shall not be needful etc. ¶ Of that xv. token and of that last. depiction of naked male and female figures emerging from the ground and the sea THat xv. token shallbe that heaven and earth shallbe changed and made new. Like it is said afore. And all people shullen arise too the judgement. Like saint Thomas said. That the elements shullen be made new And the earth shallbe bright. and that water like the crystal. and the air like heaven. and that fire like the brightness of heaven. and I shall see no thing in the air above. but shall stand still and remove not. And certainly this foresaid fire shall burn all bodies of the people if they be deed or alive good or bad but there shallbe difference it shall give pain to the bad. and none to the good. But it findeth noothinge there to purge. No more than it did to the three children the which waren put in a forncyse. As daniel said in his iij. chapter. ¶ And certainly all this is not others than as god it will have. & no man knoweth it but god alone of this tookens afore said. and if they shullen be showed one after an other. And if there more than one shall be up one day. but this same is uncertain & unknown. And therefore it is possible that that fire their purgacien shall come up that same hour as the people shullen be slaen. and than they shullen be burned to esshes to powder and dust. ¶ And therefore shall men not say for certain that they foresaid tokens shullen be upon. xv. days one after an other. ¶ Like Iheronimus hath fonden in the Hebrewshe Chronicle. For by himself is there of uncertaeyn. But the most part of these foresaid tokens may ye well believe for the be geapprobiert with the holy gospels. that the world shall burn and purge the elementis. And also that the holy bodies shullen arise. And that same fire shall go about after the judgement and shall take all corrupcien with hem and shall go with a great heat to hell. and there with to punish the bad. And all those that of suttylnes is in this same fire and off good works shall abeyde above in everlasting glory. And this is known that this same fire shall go afore that dreful day of judgement. ¶ Here endeth the xv tokens depiction of two male figures throwing a third figure into a pit or well, while a male figure with crown and sceptre points ¶ And here followeth who our lord shall 〈◊〉 shall come to judgement: All christen people be of very doubt to know by the simbol of the believe. That is our Credo. like the simple people say. which every body ought to know. or to have penance the everlasting damnation of his soul. ¶ And our lord shall come at that same day to judge the that be alive and though that be deed. and good and bad. In which judgement he shall give every body after that they have served. And this shallbe done like it is said afore. But as our lord shall come with great might in time of justicie in which time shallbe noon mercy. After that vision of saint johan in appocalipsi in his x. chapter said. One angel coming out of heaven. putting his right foot op the see and his lyfter foot upon the earth. & making his oath by our lord the which is alive in heaven. That that same time should be no more Glosa. the time of mercy. But the time of judgement and there justicien. And said that there spoke to hem seven. donre claps. and there by shullen we understand that there shullen fallen seven. peryllosshe things. The which shullen fallen upon they though that be dampened. ¶ And though that be saved shullen have seven myrthee. in that same day of judgement. & by that first donre clap shall ye understand the arising of the dead bodies men and women But after the purgacie of the fire in earth. shall out lord be ready to come to judgement. and his angels shullen blow the trompettis making a great noise. and they shullen bring to guider all friends of our lord. the which that have be turned in to esshes in all four corners of the world. Like matheus said in his xxiv. chapter. ¶ Mittit angelos suos cum tuba. And this same blowing shall be herd of good and bad and shullen arise upon that same day. As the apostle said ad Corintheos. ¶ Oens quidem resurgemus. And they trompettis shullen give a meruelyous noise. Whereof saint Iheronimus said ¶ Sive dormio sive vigilo etc. That is to say. sleep I wake I eat I drink I. or what that I do. ever my seemeth that I hear the last trompettis of that drefull judgement saying stand open ne deed and cometh to judgement. Like one doctor said op that book of sapiens. The noise of these trompettis shullen give a fyling sown the which shall command that commandment of our lord ihu xpi. by which commandment all deed bodies shullen arise. As Chrisostomus said. That is one meruelyous sown of the crompettis that it maketh the elementis subject and also parted the stones. And doth open the gate of hell. and brecte the gate of Aren and the gate of hell made of iron. and brecte the bands of the dead people. And shall give every body his soul again and shullen be pulled out of the deepness. And everibody shall than have his soul open. And that same sown shall not be herd alone in heaven butt also in earth. And adam shall come first with all his progeny the which that have served our lord Abraham shall come with all holy patriarchen Isay as with all holy prophets. David with all good kings Saint peter with all apostles evangelists and disciples. Saint stephen and Saint Laurens with all though that have shed there blood for the love of christ. Saint nicolaus and Martimis with all his confessors Saint katherin with all holy virgin's Saint elisabeth with all holy & sage women weduwes Saint Anna with all women that have not broken there wedlock: And the queen of heaven shall come with all religious persons the which that haven served and worshipped her. And like wise shall the noise be herd in hell. As Crisostimus said. ¶ And than shullen comen Lucifer. Asmodeꝭ. Sathanas. belsebuck. astaroch. and other capiteyns. and with all that in hell is. And this foresaid blowing shall be herd in all corners of the world. ¶ And than shall come Cayin the which slew his brother. & shall go with the foresaid devils. and also all mordenars. judas with all traitors Pylatus with all untrue jews. Herodes with all false kings & princes. Barrabas with all thieves. Lamech with all though that have not kept there wedlock. Nemroch with all usurers Yezy with all false marchans'. Simon maguo with all nygromantiers. Athalya with all though that have killed there children Isabel with all harlottls and lecherous women. Like saint johan said in his v. chapter. Procedent qui bona fecerunt in resurrectionem vite qui vero male egerint in resurrectonem judicij And ye shall understand by the second donre clap Whereof that the evangelist said. in apocalipst. That all though that shallbe to guider in the judgement shullen be departed in four. The first company shullen sit by the judgement of our lord. As our blessed lady the mother of our lord Ihu. The apppostles. discipules. martyrs. Confessors. patriarchs. and prophets. ¶ And this same compasy shall stand there beside not for to give sentence. But for to approbere the sentence of our lord Ihesu Criste. ¶ And in this foresaid Company. all though that have left there good here in earth for the love of our Lord And haven given it to the poor folk and to the Religious people.
