WHereas the Kings most Excellent majesty, by His Proclamation dated the ninth day of july last, to reform the manifold inconveniences that arise to the kingdom by the unlimited number of common Maultsters, did declare His royal will and pleasure for their restraint of using that Trade, unless they should be allowed and reduced under the government then proposed for the common good of the Realm; His Majesty, upon further Considerations sithence presented to Him and His privy council, Is now pleased, out of His mere Grace to His Subjects, to discharge them of that restraint; and that from henceforth it shall be free for all His people to use Maulting in such due and lawful manner as they might have done by the Laws and Statutes of this Realm before His Majesties Proclamation for licencing of them, without incurring the danger of contempt thereby. nevertheless, it is His Majesties will and pleasure, that all Iustices of Peace, Maiors, Sheriffes, Constables, and others His Officers within their several Offices and jurisdictions respectively do take care that the laws and Statutes of the Realm touching Maulting and Maultsters be duly put in execution.
