THE Iustices of the Peace of this City, assembled at this General Quarter Sessions of the Peace, taking into their due consideration the several complaints that have been made against the Inn-keepers, Hostlers, and Stable-keepers within this City and Liberties thereof, for selling their Horse-meat and Provender at excessive and immoderate Rates and Prices, and their Provender in small measures, to the great Oppression of His Majesties Subjects: For redress herein, for the future, do think fit to Order, and it is hereby thought fit and Ordered, that the Rules, Rates, and Prices for Horse-meat, and the measures hereafter mentioned, be observed throughout the City of London and Liberties thereof, until other Order shall be made to the contrary. First, That every Inn-keeper and ostler, shall suffer the Horses of their Guests, to stand at Livery, if the Owner will, and that they shall sell Oats, Pease and Beans, in their Inns and Hosteries, by Winchester measure, and by no other measure, and that no Inn-keeper or ostler, shall take in his Inn or Hostery, above the Rates and Prices hereafter expressed, or any of them, viz.   d. Of Persons who Lodge in their Inns and have not their Diet in the same Inns for the most part. For one Horse standing at Livery at good and sweet Hay a day and a night, the Inn-keeper therewith also finding good Litter 7 For a perk of Oats of Winchester measure 8 And so after that Rate and not above.   Of Persons who Lodge in their Inns and take their Diet in the s●me Inn.
