TO THE High Court of Parliament. Assembled M. 4. D. 30. 1691. The most Humble Address of T. Beverley, a Minister to this Nation in the Prophesies of Jesus Christ. YOUR most Humble Minister, First of all Remembers, Acknowledges, and Bewails before you his Great Miscarriages, for which He confesses He is Justly a Prisoner in the Fleet; and Humbly Begs in the Bowels of Jesus Christ Forgiveness of God, of All Good Men, and of All that suffer by Him, having Assured Hope and Faith, that God will yet Restore Him to an Ability to do Right to All; and that, in the Prophetical Ministry, He hath committed to Him For He Avows before you, as in the Presence of God, that He is not a Person Seduced either by Fanaticism or Phantastry; but that God hath in an ordi●… ry( in which, He is assured, There is yet an Extraordinary) way summoned his Mind, and Thoughts, to Contemplate that Great Prophetical Frame, ●… d Scheme of the Grand Futurities, Relating to his Church, and to other Nations, as concerned in his Churches Conditien, especially in the Decur●… nce of the Four Monarchies from the Babylonish Captivity, to the Kingdom of Christ; concerning which God hath planted in his Word of Truth, according to ●… ophecy, a Line of Time in express Numbers from Cyrus to that Kingdom, as He had before by History Given that Line from the Creation to Cyrus. And concerning the Truth of this Line, Your most Humble Minister, as He Appeals to God, concerning the Sincerity of his Conscience, that He hath 〈◇〉 Line by Scripture made Known to Him; So He Appeals to this High, and Honourable Assembly, to All the Eminent Bishops, or Seers, to all the Ministers of ●… e Gospel, or to any Persons of Scripture Reason, Sagacity, and Learning; that the Greatest Events Relating to the Jewish Church from Cyrus s Decree for ●… eir Restoration until the Death, Resurrection, and Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, the True Messiah; and from thence( Taking in the Desolation 〈◇〉 the Jews, by Titus Vespasian, and after by Hadrian) to the Empire Becoming Christian from Constantine to Theodosius the Great; and so Antichristianizing, till ●… e Abdication of Augustulus; And the Gradual Risings of the Papacy, to a Supremacy, and so to its Number 666. viz. Ann. 725. Excommunicating ●… perors. But then Vengeance from Heaven Arose upon it; first, by the Saracens, then by the Turks, inspired by the False Prophet Mahomet, an Antichrist, set up by ●… d in Wrath, Counter to the Pseudo Christian, False Prophet, and Antichrist the Pope; and it yet continues as It is to continue till the Fall of the Papacy; The Taking 〈◇〉 Constantinople, and the Reformation soon after followed; All which are to be found, just as your Minister could desire, in such Lively Prophetical Fi●… es, and Land-scaphs, Given in Scripture; and Each in their just Time and Season; So then They Falling neither by Artifice, nor Violence, but with Natural, Free, and Spontaneous a Co-Incidence, One within Another; Your Humble Minister looks upon them, and Appeals to so Honourable Judges of ●… son, and Truth; and to all that are such, throughout the Nation concerning Them, whether They are not Infallible Proof of such a Prophetical Scheme ●… d Line of Time according to Scripture. Accordingly He hath with a Confidence Becoming so Great an Authority, assured of very late Times the unsuccessfulness of any Attempt to Re●… ce Popery into These Nations; upon which very Account, the Great late Revolution had so stupendious an Introduction; On it Followed the special ●… termination of Prelacy in Scotland, most Agreeable to prophesy, as He declared at that Time. The Reduction of Ireland under a Protestant Supreme was to Follow; On Account of which, was; That so Amazing Preservation of London-Derry; The Sur●… zing Victory at the Boyne; and yet the Stop of Things there;( For according to prophesy, the Settlement of Protestancy there is to be flower, and yet the ●… gress is Hopeful now;) The even Miraculous achievements of so small a Number of the Suffering Witnesses of the Vaudois, now Standing on their Feet, ●… d to All this, He Adds the most Providential Change( and is Bold to Call it) Revolution of Bishops in this Nation, as a Great Preparation for a Re-Reformation, ●… d a Change of the Church of Christ, and particularly in England to a Philadelphian Church, and at whose Feet, even They are to Bow; For though it is most ●… ue, prophesy does not descend to such Particulars as these; yet by the General Prophetical Types, either of the Churches, or of Nations, Particulars may be ●… gd, by being Brought to their Generals; and accordingly your Humble Minister hath thus Prejudg'd. And now upon such a wonderful, and even undeniable Configuration of prophesy, with so Periodical Events, so many, and so in their exact order, which 〈◇〉 hath made public, as far as He could Attain; And upon much more, He hath seen beyond the Power of Publication; And Much more than All that 〈◇〉 Humbly Acknowledges, is yet to be discovered, He does( as He hath done already in Your Last Assembling) with Great Assurance, declare to you; that this very Year, There shall be a most certain Spirit of Life from God, Beginning to work in the Suffering Witnesses of the Vaudois and French, as a Morn●… Star Dawning, and a Rod of Iron put into their Hands; a Retrenchment of the Frecnh King to his own Figure, but of a Tenth in that Complex of Kings, ●… t till the Reformation gave together their Kingdom to the Beast; That a Boundary shall be set to the Turkish Tyranny, that It shall not overflow, and 〈◇〉 shall stand, till the Papacy first Fall: That Ireland shall be in a Progressive Motion to Protestant Settlement; That the KING shall Return with Victo●… and Success; And Lastly, That the Ten European Kings shall very speedily Hate the Church of Rome, which prophesy calls the Whore; on which the Pa●… shall Fall, and soon after the Turk shall be dismounted from the graecian Imperialism; All Protestant Churches, and particularly in this Nation, notwith●… ding the present Face of what is call d the Church of England, and notwithstanding the Bold Appearance of Atheism, and profaneness shall be in a ●… ndency to that Great Re-Reformation to be expected in the Succession of the Kingdom of Christ at 1697. even a Philadelphian State; to which the Prelati●…, and Ceremonialism of the Sardian Pompous Church, and the They of the Synagogue shall Bow. For besides the Change in Nations, and Governments, ●… e Months of the apostasy, that was to be in the last State of the Roman Fourth Monarchy, then Expiring;) There shall be a Pouring down of the Spirit from 〈◇〉 high, in All its Miraculous Gifts, and Graces, a Return of the Apostolic Times or the truly Primitive Christian Church, a Preaching of the Everlasting Go●… to All Tongues, and Languages according to the Prophetic Style of Universal Monarchy, Dan. 3. and then a sudden Appearance of the Glorious Kingdom of Christ. Now seeing nothing can be more Honourable to Christian-Protestant Religion, and to the Sacred Volumes, wherein it is contained, than a due Research prophesy; Because the Supreme Truth, and Glory of them above False Religion, and Irreligion under which they now sink in Appearance, depends up●… the Fulfilling of prophesy: Seeing a Line of Time Co-extended with prophesy,( even as All Agree, There is with Inspired History,) Adds both Dignity, ●… d Credibility to it; and that if there be such a one, nothing can be of Greater Direction, or more Animate so Eminent a Protestant Nation, and so deeply ●… erested at such a Critical Time, as This is, wherein the Almighty Efficacies of Providence are Bringing forth Prophesies into their High Effects. Seeing, ●… stly, God hath been pleased to enable your Humble Minister, however most unworthy, to Appeal to all Understanding, that He hath found such a ●… e; and that Predictions according to it, and the Ponrtrayings of prophesy upon it have so far been Comprobated, and that there is very Great Assurance Him, that the Almighty will justify the present Prenunciation by the Result, and Issue of this Summers Expedition. Let it please so Honourable a ●… ristian- Protestant Assembly to Intercede with the KING and QUEEN, to whom a Like Address hath been presented, that a Remark of Favoor, ●… d Support in producing that Scripture Line in Full, and, as It is adorned by the Holy Spirit, with all its Prophetical Sculptures, and for the Comple●… nt of that Service may be set upon your Minister herein; which ministry will be, however now neglected, Every day, both more useful, and ●… re valuable: And if so, It will be a memorial of Honour to You in the Approaching Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ; For Ezekiel's Four Wheels, 〈…〉 same with Daniel's Four Monarchies, have now near finished their Course, and to the last, and that in the Last Turn of it; viz. The French Antichristianizing ●… er; it is said, I Humbly Declare it, in my Hearing, according to Ezek. 10.13. Oh Wheel mean TEKEL. In the mean Time, that your next more ●… emn, and Stated Assembling, may be made Joyful, and Great, by the Fulfilling of the Prediction of this Summers Success, according to the the Prophetical ●… e, He hath been Bold in God to make, shall be the Restless Prayer of Most Honourable Senate, Your most Deeply obliged Minister, And most Humble Servant in the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus.
