THE Approved Success which you have found of those Famous Lozenges or Pect 〈…〉 of Mr. Theophilus Buckworth of Milend-Green, and your Acceptation thereof being sufficient of itself to testify their Eccellency, and Vindicate him from the wicked designs of Lownds and Peircy, or any other; he intended to rest there upon in silence, but yet they still pursuing their wonted practise in Scandalous libeling, I am once more enforced( though I shall not trouble you with a recital of their many impudent▪ untruths, and Scandals Published in many Printed Papers by Lownds and Peircy against Mr. Theophilus Buckworth the Author or Operator of his said Lozenges,) to declare a little more of their dealing in a ●ew particulars. 1. When Peircy began to make Lozenges, Lownds Printed papers against him, but when Lownds and Peircy met,& Peircy would sell him Lozenges( such as they are) for five shillings a Pound, then Lownds( for his own profit,) utterly disclaims Mr. Buckworths, and combines with Peircy to scandalise Mr. Buckworth and his Lozenges, as they did by their Printed Bills. 2. Lownds pretends great care of the peoples Health, but being told that Peircies Lozenges were not so good as Buckworths, his answer was, He cared not, For his Sign was the Sign of the white Lion still, and if they were Brick-bats sealed up he could sell them, and that was all he cared for. 3. Lownds finding his design to fail herein, and that Peirce's Lozenges would not do his work, he hath gotten one Buckworth to make him Lozenges, and now the said Mr. Lownds being undeceived herein, and fully satisfied as to the excellency of Mr. Buckworths Lozenges,( for the common good as he saith) sells them again, pardon his mistakes. 4. They have the Impudence to Publish that Mr. Theophilus Buckworth was convicted by a Legal trial at Law, and that he was indicted at Sessions, and durst not appear to justify himself; but this is as notorio●●ly false as the rest of their Stories. 5. It is true, they contrived an Arrest against Mr. Buckworth, and prosecuted it by Richard Adrian a Minister( such a one as tis) Brother in Law to John Peircy, who for his mischievous acting therein, was the last General Sessions Indicted, and by the Court Committed to the New-Prison, and at the next Sessions he will receive punishment according to his deserts, and his Brother in Law John Peircy is prosecuted for his Base scandals at the svit of Mr. Buckworth. But to prevent all their designs, and that all people may be assured of the truth of Mr. Theophilus Buckworths Lozenges, he hath addressed himself to one of his Majesties Doctors in ordinary, and Doctor to his Majesties Family, and to another eminent Doctor of the college of London, who hath given approbation of the Eccellency of them under their hands, and that no person be deceived with the name of Buckworth's Lozenges; Be pleased once more to take Notice that his Right Lozenges are to be had at no places in England but these following.
