TWO ORDERS Of the Commons in Parliament of great Consequence: The one forbidding after Publication hereof; all Persons, Tenants or others, to pay any Rents, Profits, Fees, or other advantages due, or payable to any person or persons ecclesiastical or temporal, as have raised or shall raise Arms against the Parliament, or have volutarily contributed thereunto; and that such payment shall be accounted as non payment. The other of additions to the Ordinance of both Houses, for the raising of a wkekly Contribution for the maintenance of the Army raised by the PARLIAMENT. IT is this day Ordered by the Commons in Parliament assembled; That if any person, Tenant or other, after notice hereof given by the publication in Print, shall pay unto William Archbishop of Canterbury, John Archbishop of york, Thomas Bishop of Duresme, Robert Bishop of Coventry and Litchfield, joseph Bishop of Norwich, John Bishop of Asaph, Robert Bishop of Oxon, William Bishop of Bath and Wells, George Bishop of Hereford, matthew Bishop of Ely, Godfrey Bishop of gloucester, John Bishop of Peterborough, Morgan Bishop of Landaffe, John Bishop of Worcester, or to any such Bishops, Deans, Deans and Chapters, Prebends, Archdeacons, or any other person or persons ecclesiastical or temporal, as have raised or shall raise arms against the Parliament, or have been, are, or shall be in actual War against the same, or have voluntarily contributed, or shall voluntarily contribute( not being under the power of any part of the Kings army at the times of such contributing) any money, horse, Plate, arms, ammunition, or other aid or assistance for, or towards the maintenance of any Forces raised against the Parliament, or for the opposing of any Force or power raised by authority of both Houses of Parliament, or for the robbing, spoiling, plundering, or destroying of any of the Kings Subjects who have willingly contributed or yielded obedience to the commands of both Houses of Parliament, or to such as have joined, or shall join in any oath or act of association against the Parliament, or have imposed, or shall impose any tax or assessment upon his Majesties Subjects, for, or towards the maintenance of any Forces against the Parliament, or have, or shall use any force or power to levy the same; any Rents, Profits, Fees, or other advantage or emolument due to them, or any of them payable or chargeable upon any of their Lands or Offices; That such payment shall be accounted as non payment, and that they shall be liable, and shall pay the same, to such as by authority of both Houses of Parliament shall be authorised to receive the same. WHereas, in the Ordinance of both Houses of Parliament for the raising of a weekly contribution for the maintenance of the army raised by the Parliament; the names of divers persons were omitted to be Committees for the Counties of Hertford, Kent, Somerset, Suffolk, Bedford, Surry, Dorset, Sussex, norfolk. Be it ordained, That Sir John Garret Baronet, Sir John read Baronet, Norton Graveley Esquire, Doctor King Doctor in physic, shall be added to the Committees name for the said County of Hertford. And Sir Robert Honywood, and Sir Peter Godfrey knights, Richard brown, Robert Scot, William james, and Marc Dixwell Esquires, shall be added to the Committees name for the said Country of Kent. And Hugh Rogers, John ash, John pine, Clement Walker, and Robert Blagh Esquires, shall be added to the Committees name for the said County of Somerset. And Sir Edward Bacon knight and Baronet, Sir Butts Bacon Baronet, Sir Robert brook, Sir William So●●e, sir Edward Duke knights, Brampto Gurden, Wiseman Bokenham, Isaac Apleton, Henry North junior, Robert Reynolds Esquires, Thomas coal, Richard Pepys, Nathaniel Bacon de Ipswich, John Clinch signior, John Clinch of Culphere, Nicholas Rivet of Dringston, Gibson Lucas Esquires; the Aldermen of Bury St. Edmunds, and Thomas Chapman Esquire, Thomas johnson of Albrough Gentleman, shall be added to the Committees name for the said County of suffolk. And Sir Thomas Alston Knight and Baronet, Sir Roger Burgoyne knight, Thomas Rolte, Humphrey Monox, William Duncombe, John Vaux, Humphrey Fish, John neal, Oliver butler, the mayor for the time being, and Doctor Banister Doctor in physic, shall be added to the Committees name for the said County of Bedford. Sir Thomas Grimes, Sir John Gresham, Sir John Lenthall, Sir John Maynard Knights, charles Hoskins, Edward Bishe signior, Edward Bishe junior, Edward Bagshawe, John White, Robert goodwin, John Turner, edmond Sanders, Hermond Atwood Esquires, shall be added to the Committees name for the said County of Surry. And Richard Rose, Thomas Ceeley, John henly, William Sydenham junior Esquires, shall be added to the Committees name for the said County of Dorset. And Sir John Cbapman knight, Anthony Fowle, Laurence Archburnham, Thomas Middleton, Peter Farneden, John Busbridge, Stephen Humphrey, Thomas Collins, Captain Carleton, Captain Everden, Edward Higgons, William C●wley Robert Spence Esquires, shalbe added to the Committees name for the said county of Sussex. And Sir Edward Berkham Baronet, Sir Thomas Gaudy, sir Edward Ashtly, sir Thomas Guibon knights, Thomas russel, John Walpoole, Robert Wilton, Robert Iermy, John Guibon▪ Robert shepherd, Philip Calthorpe Esquires, shall be added to the Committees name for the said County of norfolk. Which persons herein name, shall be Committees for the several Counties aforesaid; and shall have the same power and authority in the respective Counties for which they are nominated, as the other Committees therein name are thereby to have.
