WHEREAS We have received information that William White of the City of Cork Merchant was on or about the 26th day of October last past most barbarously murdered, within a mile of the said City of cork, and none of the Murderers as yet apprehended or known. We in detestation of the said barbarous murder and to the end that some of those concerned therein, should be brought to condign punishment do think fit hereby to Declare, that if any Person shall discover and apprehended the persons that had a hand, and were Actors in the said murder, and convict or cause to be apprehended and convicted, all or any of the Murderers, that he that shall apprehended and convicted all or any of them, as a reward for his said service, shall receive the sum of Forty Pounds to be paid him, by the present Mayor of cork upon the conviction of any of the Person or Persons guilty of the said murder, and if any of the Persons that had a hand in the said murder, shall discover apprehended and convict all or any of the Persons that were Actors in the said murder, he shall not only be pardonned but receive the aforesaid reward, of Forty Pound to be paid him in manner aforesaid.
