Rules to be observed by the Persons Proposing to be Tenants to any of the Lands, or Houses, Forfeited by the Rebellion, and in their Majesties dispose. 1 THat all Persons desiring to become Tenants to any of the said Lands, or Houses, do lodge their Proposals with Our Secretary. 2 That in their Proposals, they set forth the Names of the Lands, the County, and Barony, they are in, the No. of Acres each denomination contains, and who were the Proprietors thereof: What Houses, Gardens, Orchards, Mills, Royalties, or other Improvements are on the premises. Whether the said Lands are Tenanted in part, or in the whole: If Tenanted, by whom, and what Rent per. Annum. 3 That they also set forth the utmost they will give per. Ann. for each Denomination, for a Lease thereof to continue during their Majesties pleasure, in which Lease there will be a clause, that if their Majesties shall please to determine the said Demise, before one whole Year be expired, in such case the Tenants shall Reap and carry away the Crop, and Mow and carry off the Grass he hath sowed, or saved, by himself, or Tenants on the premises. 4 That any one that Proposes, for any Forfeited Houses, in any Corporation, in their Majesties dispose as aforesaid, do insert in their Proposals, the Street, and Parish the same does lie, and what Gardens, Stable, or other Out-houses are thereon, the names of Tenants, the Rent they pay, and in what condition the premises really are, and the most they will give for the same, for the Term aforesaid. 5 That every Tenant for payment of the Rent, and performance of the Covenants, shall give such Security as We shall approve off. And that We will set the premises to them that offer most for the same, and give Security for performance as aforesaid. 6 And that all Persons who have any encumbrances on any of the said Lands, or Houses, before the 13th of February 1688. do make the same appear unto Us with all speed, that due regard may be had thereof, on the disposal of the said Lands, and Houses, as aforesaid.
