TYRCONNELL. WHEREAS it hath pleased Almighty God of His Great and Continued Mercy to His Majesty and His Kingdoms to Bless Him and His Royal Consort, the Queen, with a Son; and These His Kingdoms and Dominions with a Prince. And forasmuch as increase of Issue of the Royal Family, and particularly the Birth of a Young Prince, is a public Blessing, and, under God, a Great Security of Peace and Happiness to His Majesty's Kingdoms, for which all His Majesty's Subjects are Obliged to make Solemn acknowledgements to The Almighty God. WE Have therefore thought fit to appoint a Time, upon this Occasion, for public Thanksgiving in all the Churches and Chapels throughout this Kingdom to Almighty God for so Great a Blessing. We do therefore Appoint, That upon Sunday the first Day of July next, within the City and Suburbs of Dublin, and the Liberties adjoining; And upon Sunday the eighth Day of the Month of July aforesaid, in all other Places throughout the Kingdom, be had and solemnized a public Thanksgiving for so Great a Blessing vouchsafed to His Majesty and His Kingdoms. We willing and strictly Commanding all Persons within this Realm, with all Sobriety, Reverence and Thankfulness to perform this Duty upon the several and respective Days before mentioned, and to Observe the same as becomes so solemn an Occasion.
