His Majestie's Most Gracious PARDON, Pleaded at JUSTICE-HALL in the OLD-BAILY, To several Prisoners in Newgate, at an Adjournment of the Sessions of the Peace, and Oyer and Terminer, Held for the City of London and County of Middlesex, on Wednesday the 21st. of March, 1687/ ●. And in the Fourth Year of His Majesties Reign. WHEREAS, at several Sessions last past, Held for the City of London and County of Middlesex, divers Felons and other Criminals had received Sentence of Death and Transportation, it pleased his Most Sacred Majesty, out of His Inherent Clemency, in Imitation of His Mercifully, Famous and ever to be remembered Ancestors, to extend the favour of His Free and Gracious PARDON, to the several Prisoners here under name. In order whereunto, at the late Sessions of Oyer and Terminer, Held for the City and County aforesaid, on the 22d. and 23d. days of February last past, an Adjournment was there made, till Wednesday the 21st. of March; where the Right Honourable Sir John Shorter Kt. Lord Mayor of the City of London, Sir Bartholomew Shore Kt. one of His Majesties council at Law, and Recorder of the said City, together with others of the Worshipful the Aldermen, the same day about Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, did call over the several Prisoners here under name, viz. London Side. Felony. MAary Richeson, Robert Andrews, Lewis Hegar, William Ely, Thomas Ward alias wyatt, Isaac Bursfeild, Thomas Pashford alias Reynolds. Middlesex Side. Felony. THomas Gilson, Chrishana heartily, Mary Burton, Elizabeth Miller, and Child, Francis Tracey, George Ogilby, Charles Hughes, John Cooper, Mary King, alias Crofts, William Wright, Mary Wooton, George clerk, Patience Jones, Susannah Rogers, Armain Du Poure, Elizabeth Barber, Elizabeth Morris, alias Clansey, Anthony Dyer, Robert brown, alias beam, alias Betty, Solomon Spring, James Jordan. For Robbing on the High-way. John Sutton, Florence Vaughan, Felony and Burg. Thomas Garrett, alias Knowles Margaret Meake, Thomasin Tally, Richard Sconnick, and die, John green, George clerk, Margaret Smith. Felony and murder. George Ward, John Smith, John Reyner, Joseph Booth, Thomas Smith, Thomas Cox, Sam. Kidwell. William gardener, Upon Fine. Others were also called that were upon Bail, but did not appear. After which, His Majesties Gracious Commission for a General Pardon was there red, which they severally on their respective Knees Pleaded, and the Court was pleased to allow thereof; Twenty nine being ordered for Transportation, and the rest had the benefit of a Free-Pardon. And after the Court had told the Prisoners of the great Mercy of the King towards them, and gave them warning to avoid the like Crimes for the future, telling them, that if e●… any of them came to that Place again, they must expect no Favour.
