The Office of Land-Credit, Encouragement to Mony'd-Men. THat Mony'd Men may also largely partake of the Benefits of this General Undertaking of the Office of Land-Credit: The several following Methods are Proposed to all, that are Desirous to be concerned therein, and whose Circumstances may svit with the same, whereby they may, either very Securely, or very advantageously, if not both, Improve their Stocks, without Trouble, Skill, or Charge: As, I. To have 35 l. per Annum, for four Years, out of the Profits of the Office, for every 100 l. paid into the said Office; which 100 l. with Legal Interest, shall be Secured by Land to be returned, in Case the Office fails to pay the said Annuity, which advantage almost equals 14 per Cent per Annum. II. To have 20 l. immediately added to every 80 l. put into the Joint Stock of Trade, and to enjoy the Profits thereof till drawn out, which they may do in five Years, if they Please; that is, to have a Share of 100 l. in the said Stock, and to enjoy the Profits of so much Annually, till they shall dispose of the said Share: And so in Proportion for more or less. III. To have a present Life, at six Years Purchase, till Midsummer next, and thence to Christmas, at seven Years: And after that at one Year beneath the Market Price, whether ten or eleven Years, more or less: The Annuities to be paid out of the Profits of the Office, but the Principal and Legal Interest is to be Secured by particular Estates in Lands or Houses, in Case the Office fails, to pay the said Annuity. IV. To have for second Lives 30 l. per Annum for every 100 l. paid into the said Office, during the Health and Strength of the first Life; The Annuity and the Principal with the Legal Interest, to be Secured, as in the last Article. The Advantages of the former Articles are obvious; but 'tis necessary to Instance some that attends this last Article; As, 1st, Here is a certain, plentiful and easy Provision for Wives and Children. 2dly, Larger Portions may be expected by Men of Professions and Trades, when they mary, because of the said Provision. 3dly, This Provision may, with greater convenience, be made without clogging Estates, by Marriage Settlements. Note, That whatever Sums shall be paid, upon any of these Articles, 99 l. in the said Office Bills, shall be accepted for 100 l. in Gold or Silver. Whoever hath a desire to Treat upon any of the Articles above, may please to Repair to Mr. Sam. White, Agent to the Office of Land-Credit, N. 6. in the New Buildings in Lincolns-Inn, every Evening, except Sundays, from 6 to 8.
