PROPOSALS Concerning the COIN. THAT all the Old Crowns and Half-Crowns be Called In, according to the Kings Proclamation. That all the Shillings and Six-pences of Lawful Coins( Milled Money excepted) be made Currant by Weight: With an Advance of One Third Part; that is to say, for an Ounce Troy. of the abovesaid Coins, to be allowed Six Shillings and Eight Pence, in all Payments, until the— day of— That after that time the Price of the same be lessened One Penny per Ounce per Month, until the Price be Reduced to the Standard. To encourage the bringing the said Coins to the Mint, That the Receivers of the Taxes, &c. be Ordered to Take the same for One Penny per Ounce more than the Currant Price. That no Old Coin be Paid out of the Exchequer after the— day of— but sent to the Mint to the Recoined. Whereby the Mint will be supplied with Bullion. Clipping made Unprofitable; and Consequently a present Stop put to it. The Broad Money will be brought out. And Silver Money Sufficient to supply the Trade of the Kingdom, until New Money may be Coined. The Importation of Gold from foreign Parts very much prevented, by which the Nation has already sustained great Loss. The Gain upon the Large, will( in part) make good the Loss on the Small Money. The Loss, intended to be made good by the public, hereby Lessened.
