The Gallery for this issue of the JBC features the award-winning imagery from the Association of Medical Illustrators' 2016 Salon. The illustrations, interactive content, and motion media featured in our Gallery were exhibited at the AMI annual meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia. Each year the AMI Salon features extraordinary medical illustration and media from AMI members and medical illustration students worldwide, depicting anatomy, surgical procedures, molecular structure, medical research, genetics, bio-pharma concepts, animation, and interactive media. AMI members exhibit their work in either the Professional or Student categories, which are further divided into categories such as instructional, editorial, advertising, and medical-legal. We are pleased to share these AMI category winners in this issue’s Gallery. Congratulations to all AMI Salon winners.
