 at the fame Time^ to aflure you^ that aS' 
 your Condu6l^ during the Courlc of it, 
 has highly deferved His Royal Approba- 
 tion, lb His Majefty now returns you His 
 hearty Thanks for it 
 
 At the Openmg of the Seffion, His Ma- 
 jejfty exhorted you to bear up againift alb 
 Difficulties; efiedhially to itand by and< 
 defend His Majeftyi and vigoroufly to fupport the King of 
 'Pruffm, and the reft of His Allifi& 
 
 The King has commamuled us to acquaint you. That His> 
 Hopes of funnouiicin^ thole Difiiculties were founded on the; 
 Wildom, Zeal, and A^dion, of fb good a Parliament ; and that 
 you have fully anfwered His Exipediations. You have coniidcrr 
 cd the War in all it's Parts ; aiid, notwithftanding the long Con- 
 tinuance of it, thro' the Obftinacy of our Enemies, have made 
 fuch Provifion for the many different Operations, as ought to 
 convince the Powers engaged againft us, that it will be for their 
 Intereft, as well as for the Eafc and Relief of all Europe, to 
 come to equitable and honourable Terms of Accommodation. 
 
 By your Affiftance, the Combined Army in German)' has been^ 
 completed ; powerful Squadrons, as well as great Numbers of 
 Land Forces, are employed in y^merica, in order to maintain 
 the juft Rights and Pofleffions of His Majefty and His People, 
 and to annoy the Enemy in the moft fenfible Manner in thole 
 Parts : And as France is now making confiderable Preparations 
 in her Ports, His Majefty has taken Care to put His Fleet at 
 Home in the beft Condition, both of Strength and Situation, to 
 guard againft ana repel any Attempts that may be meditated 
 againft His Kingdoms.

 nour of His Crown, to preferve the ellential Interefts of His 
 faithful Subjects, and to. ilipport the Caufe of the Proteftant 
 Religion, and Public Liberty. His Majelty therefore trulls," 
 that the Uprightnefs of His Intentions will draw down the 
 I31cirtng of Heaven upon!His Endeavours. - .» ^. « 
 
 We have it alio in Command from His Majelty to let you 
 know. That He hopes the Provilions you have made to prevent 
 and correct the Excelles of the Privateers, will be cfFci^tnal to 
 that delircable Knd. The King has had it much at Heart ; for 
 tho' His iVlajefty is fenlible of the Utility of that Service, when 
 under proper Regulations, He is determined to do His utmoll 
 to prevent any Injuries or Hardlhips being, done to the Subjeds 
 of Neutral Powers, as far as may be practicable, and conilftent 
 with His Majelty s juft Right to hinder the Trade of His Ene-' 
 niies from being collulively and fraudulently covered. -, .

 We are commanded to afllire you. That when His Majefty 
 coniiders the large Supplies which you have.fo unanimoufly 
 given. He feels Himfelf under the ftrongeft Obligations, not 
 only to thank you for them, but alio to applaud the Fkmnels 
 and Vigour with which you have a^led ; as well as your Pru- 
 dence in judging that, notwithftanding the prelent Burdens, 
 the making ample Provifion for carrymg on the War is the 
 molt probable Means to bring it to an honourable and happy 
 C^clufion. No Attention will be wanting on His Majefty s 
 Part, for the faithful Application of what you have granted.

 That He has nothing more to delire of you, but that you would
