Cilled on the committee on deceased members, who made the following- report: "We your comnfitte 011 deceased members beg leave to make the following repor| since our last session. Concord Church has lost one of her standard members, Parson James West, who was Moderator of this bod;y many years. "We mourn his loss, but hope the loss of his family, apd the Church, is his eternal gain. Rev. James West was born July 26th, 1773, and departed this life March 21st, 186"?, being 88 years, 7 months, and 25 days of age. He made profession of religion in 1802, and was ordained in 1810, commenced preaching soon, under license until he was ordained, he refused to be ordained for sev¬ eral years. He was a Baptist preacher for G5 years—sound in the faith—preached until a few hours before his death, bidding farewell to all around him, farewell world—oftimes saying he was ready waiting the summons. Also Yahoola Church has lost two members. Susannah Hamelton departed this life July 5th 1867, in the 66th year of her age. She lived the life of the righteous and died the death of the christian. Mary Shelton was a pious member of the church, and punctual to her confer¬ ence meetings. Nimble will has lost one of her members, Unity Shufheld, she departed this life February 13th, 1867, being- about 60 years ot age. She was an orderly member of the Bip- fist church, between 35 and 40 years of age. She expressed in Ber dying moments that she had no fear of death. We mourn her loss, trusting and believeing our loss is her eternal gain. Tesentee has lost one of her deacons, who departed this life in the fit if triumph of a living faith. Peace to his ashes. Also Mb. Pisgah Church has lost one of her members, Peter Seabolt, leaving a wife and several children to mourn his loss. J. M. BLACKWELL, Ch'm. 23. Called 011 the committee on Sabbath Schools, who made the tollowing report: That we recommend all the churches to organize Sabbath Schools, and report to the next session of this body. E. C.
