The Chinese Curios were purchased from the S, Wells Williams Col-
lection—missionary in China for over forty years.

native iron on which a majority of Babylonian
cylinders are engraved

in Roman tomb
Abraxas Gem. ‘This is one of the earliest specimens
of Greek art in gem cutting. Date, B. C. 200.
Found ina tomb on the Tigris near Mosul, an
ancient town of Mesipotamia. The stone is helio-
trope and authenticated by Prof. C. W. King, of
London. The subject is Victory inscribing
Alexander’s name on a shield, Stone has been
damaged, but restored to fair condition
Trilobite. One of the first forms of animal life,
belonging to the Paleozoic period; found at Tren-
ton Falls, New York.
