SIXTH EXHIBITION OF “INTIMATE PAINTINGS NOVEMBER 21 - DECEMBER 11 1922 THE MACBETH GALLERY 4 SO FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK AT FORTIETH STREET r u'Kf SIXTH EXHIBITION 0 * hi OF “INTIMATE PAINTINGS” NOVEMBER 21 - DECEMBER 11 1922 THE MACBETH GALLERY 450 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK AT FORTIETH STREET FOREWORD YYUR Sixth Annual Exhibition of “Inti¬ mate Paintings” needs no word of intro¬ duction to its many friends, as it has already become an event welcomed by them as an opportunity to procure livable pictures for the home. For the benefit of those who may not be familiar with the character of this exhibition, we may add that in this collection it is our aim to put before our visitors pictures which are of the highest quality and represent our leading American artists at their very best, and which are small in size and therefore suitable for the limited wall space afforded by many of our modern homes. We have published the sizes and prices in the thought that they may be of assistance to those who live at a distance from New York and are, therefore, unable to see the exhibition but who wish to make selections for particular spaces. It is always a pleasure to make recommendations to such people and, if they are interested in pictures not re¬ produced, we have excellent photographs of many of them which we should be glad to send. At the close of the exhibition, the canvases themselves could be sent on ap¬ proval to responsible persons without expense to them or any obligation whatever to buy.
