Two Rooms have been appropriated principally to the reception of the Works of deceased British Artists,—Reynolds, Wilson, Gains¬ borough, Hogarth and others,—forming a Collection which they flatter themselves will be as interesting to the Public as it is honourable to native talent. They have added also a Selection of the Works of the late Thomas Stothard, Esq., R.A., whose taste and poetic feeling have been rarely excelled. With the hope of encouraging the exertions of young Artists, the Directors take this opportunity of again announcing their intention of giving, next year.
