Mr. McCall, from the Committee on the Library, submitted the following REPORT. [To accompany S. 9449.] The Committee on the Library, to whom was referred the bill (S. 9449) to provide a commission to secure plans and designs for a monument or memorial to the memory of Abraham Lincoln, having considered the same, report it to the House with the following amendments : On page 1, line 3, after the word "Taft," insert the words "Shelby M. Cuilom, Joseph G. Cannon;" in line 10 of same page strike out the word "their" and insert in place thereof the word "its;" in line 12 of same page strike out the w^ord "they" in insert in place thereof the word "it;" and in line 13 of same page strike out the word "themselves" and insert in place thereof the word "itself." On page 2 strike out all in section 5 and insert in place thereof the followmg; That to defray the necessary expenses of the commission herein created, and the cost of procuring plans or designs for a memorial or monument, as herein provided, there is hereby appropriated the sum of fifty thousand dollars, to be immediately available.
