º ~ * ~ * * * g : ºft A Proclamation by the 60Vermor Concerning Chanksgiving Øay To the People of Michigan, Greeting, Thursday, the twenty-sixth day of November, 1903, in pursuance of law and custom, is hereby designated as a day of thanksgiving and prayer, that the people of the State, assembling in their respective churches and as circumstances shall admit, may make suitable acknowledgment of their manifold blessings to the Most High through His Son, the Redeemer, God has most wonderfully prospered this great State, not an interest, not a cause, has been neglected, and in the time of prosperity we must not forget Him, Before the altar every man, woman and child should bow the knee and pray that He will continue His infinite kindness unto this people, The church and the home make to the greatness and the per- manency of the nation and Thanksgiving Day is a good day to devote to them, Given under my hand and the Great Seal of the State of Michigan, at the Capitol, in Lansing, this fourth day of November, in (Great Seal.) the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Three, and of the Indee pendence of the United States the One Hundred Twenty-eighth, Governor.
