Q. 595 February 27, 1952 PLANT QUARANTINE IMPORT RESTRICTIONS OF TEE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS (PORTUGUESE) Sanftary Certificate Required No plant (plants and parts thereof) can he landed in the Islands without being accompanied by a sanitary certificate issued by competent authority in the country of origin in which it is at- tested that it comes from a clean area and that its sanitary state is good. The presentation of this certificate is compulsory and without it customs authorities will not permit the clearance through Customs. Plants must be inspected by the competent sanitary authorities where importation is made.
