The summary for Forth Dakota gives the general requirements for ship- ping nursery stock into that State.* An appendix furnishes information on post-office requirements for mailing plants as veil as terminal-inspection procedure,. I917, ch»3S; art. 35, sees. 2S^P2E^T; House Bill 267, iiar. 1+, I9H1) Definition of iTursery Stock. — Trees, shrubs, vines, and other plants having a persistent woody stem, and such hardy herbaceous perennials as strawberry plants* General Shipping Requirements. — Each shipment of nursery stock moving into North Dakota must bear a valid inspection certificate of the State of ori- gin. Carriers must report uncertified shipments of nursery stock to the State Entomologist, stating the point of origin and the name of the con- signee Anyone who employs agents or solicits for the sale of nursery stock in the. State should, .in the absence of reciprocal agreements, obtain a license from the Director of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station upon paying a fee of $10 and filing with the Director a copy of his State nursery inspection certificate. The license is effective for 12 months following date of issue. Any person or his agent is required, at the time of sale of nursery stock, to give the purchaser a certified statement as to the cor- rect English name or trade name, as far as possible, of each variety soldo The Director may enter into reciprocal agreements with officials of other States whereby nursery stock may be shipped between the States with- out payment of a fee (conditioned, on satisfactory inspection standards), and without special permit tags, invoices, fumigation, special statements, or special inspection other than that required for the regular nursery- inspection certificate. ... .
