Cap. 18. ¡lament aflembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That one Annuity or yearly Rent or Sum of Two thoufand Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain (hall be ¡fitting and payable out of and charged and chargeable upon the Consolidated Fund of Great Britain (after paying or referving Sufficient to pay all fuch Sum and Sums of Money as have been direiied by any former Aft or Afts of Parliament to be paid out of the fame, but with Preference to all other Payments which (hall or may hereafter be charged upon or payable out of the faid Fund), and the fame lhall from Time to Time be paid Quarterly, free and clear of all Taxes and Deduftions whatfoever, to the faid Lord IValfmgham, for and during his natural Life; which faid Annuity or yearly Rent or Sum lhall commence and take effeft from the Tenth Day of Oflober One thoufand eight hundred and fourteen ; the Firft Payment to be computed from the faid Tenth Day of Oflober One thoufand eight hundred and fourteen, until the Fifth Day of January One thoufand eight hundred and fifteen, and from thenceforth lhail be paid and payable at the Four ufual Days of Payment in the Year; that is to fay, the Fifth Day of dpril, the Fifth Day of July, the Tenth Day of Ottober, and the Fifth Day of January, in each and every Year, by even and equal Portions. II. And it is hereby further enafted, That it (hall and may be lawful to and for the Commiffioners of His Majeity’s Treafury now being, and the High Treafurer and Under Treafurer of the Exchequer, and Commiffioners of the Treafury for the Time being, and they are hereby authorized and required, by Warrant under their Hands, to direft the Auditor of the Receipt of the Exchequer now and for the Time being to make forth and pafs Debentures from Time to Time, for paying the faid Annuity or yearly Rent or Sum of Two thoufand Pounds in Manner as aforefaid, and as the fame lhall from Time to Time become due and payable, without any Fees or Charges to be demanded or taken for paying the fame or any Part thereof; which faid Warrant, and the Debentures to be made forth and palled thereupon, (hall be a fufficient Authority to the feveral and refpeftive Officers of the Receipt of the Exchequer now and for the Time being, for the Payment of the faid Annuity or yearly Rent or Sum to the faid Lord Wuljingbam at the refpeftive quarterly Feaft Days in this Aft before appointed for Payment thereof, without any further or other Warrant to be fued for, had, or obtained in that Behalf. III. And it is hereby further enafted, That after figning of fuch Warrant the fame (hall be good, valid, and effeftual in Law according to the Purport and true Meaning thereof and of this Aft, and (hall not be determinable or revocable by or upon the Demife of His Majeity, (whom God Jong preferve), or of any of His Heirs or Succefiors, or by or upon the Death or Removal of any of the faid Commiffioners of the Treafury, or the I.ord High Treafurer, or by or upon the Determination of the Power, Office or Offices of them, or any of them. IV. And be h further enafted, That the Commiffioners of the Treafury now being, and the High Treafurer of the Treafury for the Time being, Chancellor and Under Treafurer, Chamberlains and Barons of the Exchequer, and all other the Officers and Minifters of the Court of Exchequer and of the Receipt thereof, now and for the Time being, (hall, and they are.hereby authorized and (friftly enjoined and required to do without Fee 9 01 55° GEORGII III. Cap. 18. l0J or Reward all fuch Acts, Matters, and Things as are herein-before directed and required, or ihall be neceflary to be done and performed by them, or any or either of them, in order to render this Aft and the feveral Pay-ments hereby diredted effedtual. V. And be it enacted, That the Acquittance or Acquittances, Receipt Acquittances or Receipts of the faid Lord Waljingham ihall be a good and fufficlent cf Lt,rd Wal" Difcharge for the Payment of the faid Annuity or yearly Sum, without any further or other Warrant to be fued for or obtained in that Behalf; charge for the and that the faid Annuity or yearly Rent or Sum, and every Part thereof, Payment. Ihall be free and clear from all Taxes, Impofitions, and other Charges whatfoever ; and in cafe any of the Officers of the Receipt of HisMajefty’s Exchequer ihall refufe or negledt to pay the faid Annuity or yearly Rent or Sum, or any Part thereof, according to the true Intent and Meaning of this Aft, or to do any Aft neceflary to enable the faid Lord fValfmg-ham to receive the fame, then the faid Lord Walfmgham may from Time to Time fue, profecute, and implead fuch Officers, or any of them, their Heirs, Executors, or Adminiftrators, by Bill, Plaint, or Action of Debt, and (hall and may recover Judgement, and fue out Executions thereupon, againft fuch Officers refpeftively, their Heirs, Executors, or Adminiftrators, for fo much of fuch Sum or Sums of Money then due and owing upon the faid Annuity, yearly Rent or Sum, or any Part thereof, as ihall have been in the Hands of the Officer or Officers of the Receipt of the Exchequer at the Time or Times when Demands (hall have been legally made of the Payment of the faid Annuity, yearly Rent or Sum, or any Part thereof as aforefaid, or for the Refufal or Neglect to do any Aft neceflary to be done by fuch OiHcer or Officers refpedtively.
