A rodeo arena for livestock not only provides an enter¬ tainment area for ranchers and the general public, but it also can be used as an auction yard for cattle associations, ranchers, and buyers. General features of construction are shown on the working drawings. Details are left to the discretion of the operator and builder. Livestock movement can be changed easily to suit vary¬ ing needs. There are nine pens of various sizes and eight bronco chutes. The announcer’s booth, pens, and chutes are located at the west end of the arena. Seating is provided on the north and south sides of the arena with six-tier bleachers. Complete working drawings may be obtained from the Extension agri¬ cultural engineer at your State university. There may be a small charge to cover cost of printing. If you do not know the location of your State university, send your request to Agricultural Engineer, Extension Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Washington, D.C. 20250.
