When the beacons on Shelter Island come in range, bearing 350°, change course and maintain this bearing, which leads over a 5-fathom patch about 800 yards southward of the front beacon and between two 4-fathom patches lying, respectively, 700 yards south-southeastward and 450 yards south¬ ward of the front beacon.
