This article gives an overview of liberalism in Armenia. It is limited to liberal parties with substantial support, mainly proved by having had representation in the National Assembly of Armenia.

Background[edit]

In the struggle for independence, a national liberal current arose in Armenia. Armenia officially gained its independence in 1991 from the Soviet Union. Following which, there were some attempts to refound the national liberal current, however, these initial attempts were mostly unsuccessful.
